The Examiner Business Awards 2018

On Thursday 1st November, The Examiner Business Awards were held here in the Revell Ward Suite of The John Smith’s Stadium. The event was sponsored by KSDL, Bramleys, Pennine Business Partners, University of Huddersfield, Business Hub Kirklees, Kirklees College, Fantastic Media and HSBC.

The awards celebrated the best of the local businesses recognising their exceptional work and achievements. In total 12 awards were presented on the night for new business of the year, creative impact award, community award, employee of the year, apprenticeship award, innovation and enterprise award, young entrepreneur of the year, export award, SME of the year (up to 20 employees), SME of the year (21-50 employees), business of the year (over 50 employees) and business person of the year.

Gareth Davies, Managing Director of KSDL presented the SME of the year award. The winner of this award went to Distinctive Chesterfields. Other award winners included PAX Burger, Martin Walsh Architectural, Huddersfield Mission, Kirsty Vickerman Prohms Ltd, Crowther and Shaw, Donaldson Vets, Mike Lomas, Huddersfield Town FC, The FM Company UK Ltd, Smith Brothers Contacting and Sean Jarvis won business person of the year.

A massive congratulations to all of the other nominees and winner on the night. What a great success it was!
