Matchday Kiosk Staff

KSDL is looking for retail staff to join our catering team at The John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield.

The Stadium caters for Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants fans, so there is plenty of opportunity to be involved in our new inhouse catering operation. There will also be opportunities throughout the year to support in other areas of the business.

As Covid restrictions are lifted and the Stadium is prepared for the return of fans, we will need highly experienced, passionate and committed individuals to ensure that all fans have an enjoyable and memorable experience. We will require you to be well presented, friendly, approachable and with an eye for detail. We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

Matchday Retail Stand Managers

KSDL is looking for Retail Stand Managers to work on matchdays at The John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield.

The Stadium caters for Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants fans, so there is plenty of opportunity to be involved in our new inhouse catering operation.

As Covid restrictions are lifted and the Stadium is prepared for the return of fans, we will need highly experienced, passionate and committed Stand Managers to be involved during this exciting time here at The John Smith’s Stadium. A successful Stand Manager will:

• Be a highly passionate and motivated leader.
• Have extensive knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene, Health and Safety and Liquor Licensing.
• Have strong Leadership skills within the hospitality industry either in a high-volume bar or Sports Stadium.
• Have a sound understanding of Customer Service within the retail/hospitality industry.
• Be hardworking, engaging, flexible and have a friendly manner towards customers.
• Be able to communicate at all levels with customers, colleagues and managers.
• Have confidence in leading your team and when meeting with people at all levels.
• Be organised.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork throughout and have a hands on approach.
• Be able to think on your feet and solve problems when required.
• Be able to work in a fast paced working environment and be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.

This is a casual, hourly paid position with competitive rates of pay.

Hospitality / Conference and Events Vacancies - Part Time

We are currently recruiting staff and Managers for our prestigious hospitality areas.

Staff – You will have excellent customer service skills engaging with many different clientele; be passionate about the hospitality industry; willing to work within bar/waiting areas and be able to commit to the season to ensure our excellent service standards are maintained. A minimum of 1 years’ experience is essential due to nature of the business.

Managers – As a Manager you will support the management team and assist in maintaining our excellent customer experience through motivating and training our team of casual staff. You must be hands on, self motivated, be passionate about the business and strive to identify opportunities to upsell within the hospitality areas. This position plays a key role on matchday and it is essential you are able to commit to the season and be flexible with working hours. The position is casual, however we encourage development/progression within their teams and offer additional work during non-matchday events. It is anticipated that applicants will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience within the hospitality industry.

Turnstile Operator

Part Time Vacancies – Turnstile Operators

Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd is looking for people who are willing to work matchdays, predominantly Huddersfield Town games, but may be required for Huddersfield Giants games.  Matchdays can be any evening during the week or weekends throughout the year.

Your main role and responsibility will be to ensure the safe and swift entry to the Ground of the general public attending events at The John Smith’s Stadium.

Previous experience of dealing with customers and cash handling is preferable but not essential as training will be provided.

You must be an honest individual, punctual and committed to attending most matches and events held at the Stadium.  You must be of smart appearance, work well within a team and you must enjoy interacting with people.  Good communication skills are essential.

You will work approximately 2½ to 3 hours on match/event days, the specific hours will be variable depending on the time of kick off.  The pay rate for this job is minimum wage, plus holiday pay.

Car Park Steward

Part Time Vacancies – Car Park Stewards

Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd is looking for people who are willing to work match days, both Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants, and event days/evenings throughout the year.

You will work approximately 5-6 hours on match/event days, the specific hours will be variable depending on the time of kick off. Match or event days can be any day of the week but are predominantly Saturdays and Sundays.
