Matchday Stewards (KSDL)

Matchday Stewards

Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd is looking to recruit the following matchday staff to work at The John Smith’s Stadium from February 2019 onwards:  Safety Stewards, Car Park Stewards and Courtesy Stewards.

Matchday staff are expected to work a minimum of 75% of all Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants games, along with any other events or matches held at the Stadium.  ‘Matchdays’ can be any evening during the week or weekends throughout the year.

The primary role of a Steward is to ensure the safety of the general public at all times during an event taking place at the Stadium.  Ideal candidates will be those who enjoy interacting with people, have good communication skills and are willing to attend training in order to achieve a Level 2 qualification in Spectator Safety.  Applicants must be aged 18 or over for these roles.

Working as a Steward can be an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experience.  A number of our Matchday Staff have been with us for over 10 years, some even 20 years and we are looking to increase and strengthen our Stewarding teams.

Completed application forms should be sent to the HR Manager, Kirklees Stadium Development Ltd, Stadium Way, Huddersfield, HD1 6PG to be received no later than Friday 11 January 2019.  All applications will be scored on their content and those achieving the required level will be invited to an Assessment Centre where they will be further assessed for their suitability for the role for which they have applied.

The Assessment Centre will be held on the evening of Wednesday 30 January 2019 and all successful applicants will need to make themselves available to attend this.

Sales Manager - Full Time (Kudos Catering)

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to achieve targeted levels of sales for The John Smith’s Stadium. They will be responsible for non match day sales by managing the sales team day to day and developing new client relationships that have a requirement for the venue. Also to maintain those new relationships and maximise the earning potential for the venue.

Sales Coordinator - Full Time (Kudos Catering)

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Co-Ordinator to manage and convert enquiries to increase sales revenue to the venue utlising booking systems. To grow the business by securing new clients and new business on an on-going basis. Supporting the Sales Executive to gain appointments and research for new business. Supporting the Match day/internal admin sales support through all processes of the booking system.

Hospitality / Conference and Events Vacancies - Part Time (Kudos Catering)

We are currently recruiting staff and Managers for our prestigious hospitality areas.

Staff – You will have excellent customer service skills engaging with many different clientele; be passionate about the hospitality industry; willing to work within bar/waiting areas and be able to commit to the season to ensure our excellent service standards are maintained. A minimum of 1 years’ experience is essential due to nature of the business.

Managers – As a Manager you will support the management team and assist in maintaining our excellent customer experience through motivating and training our team of casual staff. You must be hands on, self motivated, be passionate about the business and strive to identify opportunities to upsell within the hospitality areas. This position plays a key role on matchday and it is essential you are able to commit to the season and be flexible with working hours. The position is casual, however Kudos encourage development/progression within their teams and offer additional work during non-matchday events.It is anticipated that applicants will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience within the hospitality industry.
