The Examiner Business Awards


On Thursday 7th November, The Examiner Business Awards were held in The Core Stand, The Revell Ward Suite of The John Smith’s Stadium. The event was sponsored by KSDL, Bramleys, Simply Biz, Kirklees College, City Fibre, Syngenta, Business Hub Kirklees, Business Live, University of Huddersfield, Towndoor, Prohms, HSBC and Yes Waste.

The awards celebrated the best of the local businesses recognising their exceptional work and achievements. In total 12 awards were presented on the night.

Ambassador of the Year – Mustard and Punch Group

Apprenticeship Award – Reliance Precision

Innovation and Enterprise Award – Weedfree on Track

Young Entrepreneur of the Year – Ben Bamforth

SME of the Year (up to 20 employees) – Access North

SME of the Year (21-50 employees) – Fusion IT Management

Business of the Year (over 50 employees) – FMG

Business Person of the Year – Professor Bob Cryan
