Kirklees Council Staff Awards

On Friday 4th October, Kirklees Council in association with Kirklees Stadium Development Limited held their prestigious staff awards here at The John Smith’s Stadium. Staff arrived to a 2 course Yorkshire tapas lunch including a range of main courses and desserts, as well as a welcome drink on arrival of bucks fizz. The main courses included mini battered fish, pea puree, tartar sauce, scraps. Patatas bravas, tomato salsa. Aubergine and sweet potato parmigiana. Chicken, lemon and rosemary spedini. Smoked cheddar and spring onion empanadas.

The Revell Ward Suite, situated within The Core Stand was split into two separate rooms for the occasion. One side was for formal presentations and videography about the winners on the day. The other was for dining, with an opportunity for people to meet council colleagues and representatives. The amazing decorations of balloons, flowers, table covers and sashes were provided by the Stadium’s preferred supplier, Huddersfield stylist – Attention to Detail. Hospitality boxes were used as a backdrop for photography of the winners.

The more formal part of the event, gave an opportunity for Cllr Pandor, the leader of the Council and the senior leadership team to personally thank and acknowledge the lengths people go to, to make a difference for the Kirklees citizens.
