Arranging the end of year prom / graduation is more important than ever after Covid has meant some students missed out on celebrations and goodbyes with their school, college or university friends. That’s why 2022 needs to be bigger and better than ever! Celebrate the end of exams, and the end of an era at The John Smith’s Stadium. We’ll help to make sure the party goes off in style with several event suites and catering options on offer, we can provide you with a perfect location to make the evening one to remember!

 Planning a Prom or Graduation

2022’s packages make planning easier than ever! We understand the final school year is stressful enough and are happy to do all the hard work for you. Pre-planning is key, so our dedicated events team will help tailor your requirements for a bespoke celebration and one that is fitting for your guests. We can also add additional extras such as Photo Booths, popcorn machine, and balloons. Whatever your request we can bring your ideas to life and find ways to add personality to your prom or Graduation!

 Essentials to a Prom / Graduation venue Space

Space

At the stadium we have three spacious function suites to choose from. The Fantastic Media Suite, The Revell Ward Suite and The John Smith’s Suite.

The Fantastic Media Suite – Can host up to 100 seated guests with a dance floor. This suite is accompanied by pitch-side views and the option to display your own personal message on our stadium scoreboard, as well as being directly connected to a dedicated kitchen.

The Revell Ward Suite – Can host up to 320 seated guests, which can also accommodate a dancefloor making it our largest function room. With features such as air conditioning and natural daylight, it’s an excellent choice for a larger school’s prom. The room can also be split into two sections, for as smaller event and a stage can be set up at your request.

The John Smith’s Suite – Our new refurbished suite can host up to 80 seated guests. You have the option of dividing the room into 3 different spaces, making it suitable for various events. Some features this suite boasts are a fixed dance floor, (soft) drinks area for under 18’s, Bar for over 18’s, Wi-Fi, a projector, an in-house PA system and the addition of new uplighters to set the scene for 2022, meaning it is fully equipped to meet you and your needs.

Location

With lots of parking, being close to Huddersfield town Centre and motorway, The John Smiths Stadium is the perfect destination for your event. Nearby to both the M62 and M1 motorways, it is ideal for cars and limos arriving and leaving during the event.

Amenities

Each function room has its own unique features, easy access to toilet facilities, soft drinks area (Bar for over 18’s only) and air conditioning.

Food

With a mix of students and staff attending, it can be difficult catering to fit all dietary requirements and/or preferences. Our Award Winning head chef Dave Pybus and his team, are flexible in their approach to individual events and able to work with you to provide a catering and drinks packages for the evening to fit your brief.
