Huddersfield Giants Community Trust

Huddersfield Giants Community Trust is a registered charity (1117768) and non-profit making organisation. Using the influence of professional sport, the trust is responsible for all community sports and educational activities on behalf of Huddersfield Giants Rugby League.

Huddersfield Giants Community Trust has the ability to engage people, improve community cohesion, improve fitness and well-being and raise the hopes and aspirations of the people of Kirklees and wider.

The charity uses the power of sport to inspire people of all ages and abilities through four key areas: Sport, Education, Health and Social Inclusion. The Trust engages with over 200,000 people every year through sports coaching within The Zone, local schools, grassroots clubs and the wider community.

Within their home, The Zone, the Trust also provides further opportunities for the community, including their own Education Academy which provides post 16 students the opportunity for further education. HGCT also delivers the NCS programme to hundreds of youngsters across the region every year.

The Zone

The Zone, powered by Huddersfield Giants Community Trust is the indoor venue ‘Where Play Happens’. Located next door to the John Smiths Stadium in a prime location, providing sports, fun and play for all ages.

The multi-purpose facility is spaced out over two levels which includes two indoor 3G surfaces, an indoor soft play gym, large dance studio, café area and multiple sized training rooms.

What goes on in The Zone?
