Legacy Sport have become one of the latest of many businesses to partner with The John Smith’s Stadium, in a campaign to increase their brand awareness through a number of online and offline marketing tactics. These include branding of the external LED screen and a flag in the Town Avenue car park.
Currently based in the Stadium, Legacy Sport aim to promote Healthy, Active Lifestyles by delivering PE, Sport & Health programmes that have a positive impact in school and community settings. The social enterprise was incorporated in 2011 and has mainly delivered to date in North Kirklees. Programmes include Bikeability training for young people, out of school hours sports clubs, teacher training, holiday camps and health programmes. The community interest company has developed rapidly and now employs a team of 19 people.
Manging Director of Legacy Sport, Shaun Fox said “Legacy Sport look to work in collaboration whenever possible to maximise impact in the community. This new partnership with The John Smith’s Stadium will hopefully help us to achieve our aim to expand geographically and our new prominent branding with the Stadium will help to further scale up.”
