The occasion was the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce’s third year at hosting the event at The Stadium and was a resounding success, with over 600 delegates attending on the day and 50 different exhibitor stands.

Focused on local regeneration and development, the discussion panel, which featured representatives from The Stadium, Kirklees Council and the University of Huddersfield, provided insight into all of the upcoming development plans around Huddersfield, including The HD One development at The Stadium.

The exhibitors and guest speakers worked together to execute a hugely successful day, enjoyed by all who attended, covering topics from; Digital Marketing with Design Mechanics, People, Planning and Profit with Business Hub Kirklees, Achievement Thinking with John Hotowka and Regeneration amongst other amazing surgery sessions. The exhibitors also led the day online, with event partner Social Progress providing attendees with the chance to have their tweets featured on the ‘Big Screen’ – with #KirkleesConf trending locally!

This year the event was supported by The Design Mechanics, Comoodle, Social Progress, The John Smith’s Stadium, TopicUK, Lattitude7, John Steel Photography and KC Communications.

On behalf of the Chamber, the Stadium would like to give a massive thank you to all of the partners, exhibitors and delegates who helped to make the conference an amazing success and the best one held to date!

Sam Melton, Events & Sponsorship Co-ordinator at the Mid Yorkshire Chamber said: ”We’re delighted with this year’s event; the feedback from both delegates and exhibitors has already been fantastic. Many commented on the quality of the seminars and surgeries that were running throughout the day.”

“The business community in Kirklees is striving and we will continue to work to strengthen the reputation of the Kirklees Business Conference as a way of connecting and supporting local businesses. I’d just like to thank our fantastic sponsors and supporters for helping to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever.”

Kirklees Business Conference was held Wednesday 15th March 2017. The annual event is held for all Mid Yorkshire small and medium sized businesses and has grown significantly over the years, becoming one of the Stadium’s largest non-match day event.
