Howarths HR & Employment Law in Cleckheaton

27/07/2011

The historic Temperance Hall in Brooke Street Cleckheaton has lain partially unoccupied for over four years and this landmark building was beginning to look a tired and sad relic of its former glory when sat next to the impressive and vibrant Wickham Arms with its recently refurbished enticing restaurants, bars and café. The old Temperance Hall has been many things to many people over the years including a snooker hall, social centre and more recently commercial premises. Following extensive refurbishment and internal modernisation, we (Howarths team) will take over the entire building on the first August 2011.

Our need for expansion drew us to the premises in Brooke Street and we saw it as the ideal being within easy access of Huddersfield and the M62 motorway corridor and with room for further growth. Though we are a business with a large national client base, it is important to remain loyal to our local roots.

Managing director Andy Howarth said “I was born and bred in Leeds but worked for many years in Huddersfield and Cleckheaton in my former life as a police officer and I am very proud of our connections to many businesses in Huddersfield and Kirklees. I have always maintained that staying local is not only vital to the economy but  gives our own business a sense of belonging to a thriving Kirklees  business community.”
